Description:
Seeking a Machinist with experience with rotary vane compressors, blowers and other rotating equipment.
Responsibilities:
- Must be able to operate multiple machines including manual lathes, manual mills, horizontal boring mills and vertical turret lathes.
- Must understand materials, cutting tools, speeds and feeds, and machining techniques
- Responsible for personal safety and the safety of others around machine
- Re-machine parts to repair them and still maintain critical dimensions.
- Requires long periods of standing, reaching and using hands to handle, or feel objects, tools, or controls;
- Diagnose, troubleshoot and repair all component of equipment.
- Formally document the work done on the equipment
- Complete work assignments, and assigned training within allotted time
- Maintain good work habits, and comply with all safety/company regulations
- Perform all other duties as assigned by management in a professional and efficient manner
- Must be able to frequently lift and/or move up to 35 pounds
- Must be able to complete work with limited supervision
EDUCATION & EXPERIENCE:
Minimum 2 years machining experience
