Shutter Installation Helper – Entry Level
Job Description:
Join our installation crew and help us deliver quality exterior shutter systems to homes across the region. This is an entry-level position with on-the-job training and opportunities to grow your skills.
Responsibilities Include:
Arrive at our shop in Gray, LA each morning and ride to and from the job site in a company vehicle with the team.
Help unpack shutters and load them into the trailer.
Assist with unloading, staging, and partially assembling shutters on site.
Place shutters or components at the appropriate openings for installers.
Set up ladders, tools, and equipment for the crew.
Assist installers by holding shutters in place and handing tools or fasteners.
Clean the shutters after installation.
Help clean up the job site and organize tools at the end of the day.
Back at the shop, help clean out the trailer and store tools properly.
Minimum Requirements:
Reliable transportation to and from our shop in Gray, LA.
Valid driver’s license.
Ability to lift 50+ lbs and work outdoors in heat and humidity.
Comfortable around ladders and heights (though helpers typically do not climb).
Basic knowledge of hand tools (hammer, screwdriver, cordless drill, etc.).
Able to read a tape measure is a plus.
Preferred Skills (Not Required):
Experience with miter saws or power tools.
Construction or carpentry background.
Willingness to learn more and take on additional responsibilities.
Work Environment:
Primarily outdoor work in the South Louisiana heat.
We provide a tent for shade and plan work to stay out of direct sun when possible.
Occasionally work around scaffolding or on ladders (helpers usually assist from the ground).
