POSITION SUMMARY
Assists the CFO and is responsible for managing the accounting functions of the Biomedical Research Foundation.
ESSENTIAL FUNCTIONS
Responsibilities include but not limited to:
• Prepares all financial statements, consolidating statements, variance analyses, budget reports, and supplemental reports for presentation to the Board, external entities, internal use, and others as directed by the CFO.
• Planning and coordinating the general accounting function including approval and/or preparation and posting of all general ledger transactions
• Prepares audit work papers, annual financial statements and footnote disclosures, and assists auditors with the annual audit and subsequent reports.
• Prepares agreed procedures for outside auditor use in review of transactions related to specific contracts.
• Prepares workpapers and assists tax preparer with the completion of 990, sales tax returns, and other tax related items (as necessary).
• Compiles and prepares annual budget for the organization and specific grants.
• Assists in reporting for grant activity.
• Supervises Staff Accountant and Accounting Clerks and monitors internal controls.
• Other tasks as directed.
MINIMUM QUALIFICATIONS AND EDUCATION REQUIREMENTS
Bachelor of Science Degree and CPA license. Minimum of five years of accounting and management experience including at least three years at controller level, public accounting manager level or above. NetSuite and Federal Grant experience desirable.

Working Conditions: Able to perform work in fast paced office environment. Able to adapt easily to changing priorities and able to work under pressure to meet deadlines.
