Salary:
- $68,712.75 – 87,841.93 (salary commensurate on experience/degree or MIP, whichever is greater)
- Plus 2.5-5.0% stipend for ROTC Program
Work Duration:
- Ten (10) months
- 200 Days
- 7.5 Hours per day
Requirements:
Plan, organize, and implement the Junior ROTC instructional program in a learning environment that guides and encourages students to develop and fulfill their academic potential, including but not limited to:
- Leads and manages the JROTC program, teaching the Aerospace Science portion of the program, and ensuring that the program is in compliance with the Air Force/School District contract
- Plans and supports activities such as military ceremonies, cadet competitions, cadet community service, and charitable activities.
- Conduct academic classes using the outline Air Force JROTC curriculum
- Supervise leadership development requirement activities for cadets
- Instruct cadets on Physical Training (PT) and overall physical fitness
- Sets rigorous yet appropriate learning outcomes
- Establishes supportive relationships with students
Certification Requirements:
- Must be eligible for a Louisiana Ancillary Junior ROTC Teaching Certification through the Louisiana Department of Education (LDOE)
- Retirement from active duty in the retired grades of E-6 through E-9 or 03 through 06
- Official Recommendation by U.S. Air Force with certification by the appropriate Department of defense
