Work Duration:

Responsibilities:
Plan, organize, and implement an appropriate instructional program in a learning environment that guides and encourages students to develop and fulfill their creative artistic expression potential, including but not limited to:
- Setting rigorous yet appropriate learning outcomes that are aligned with students’ Individual Education Plan (IEP) goals
- Establishing supportive relationships with students and families
- Engaging students in meaningful, developmentally appropriate, real-world discussions and learning activities to develop artistic expression
- Developing authentic and aligned assessments to measure student growth and inform instructional decisions
- Prepare students for public presentation of artistic work
- Collaboratively work with team members to fulfill the mission, vision, and beliefs of both the school(s) and the district
Certification / Requirements:
- Holds or is eligible for Louisiana Ancillary Certification specific to Talented position
- Master’s degree in Theatre, Theatre Education, or Liberal Arts -OR-
Bachelor’s with substantial artistic or creative accomplishment over an
extended period of time in Theater - Minimum of one (1) year of successful experience working with students in the specific arts area, grades K-12 PREFERRED
- Adheres to instructional methodologies for Special Education students with
exceptionalities and Bulletins 1706 and 1508
