Responsibilities:
Plan, organize and implement an appropriate instructional program in a learning environment that guides and encourages students to develop and fulfill their academic potential, including but not limited to:
- Setting rigorous yet appropriate learning outcomes
- Establishing supportive relationships with students
- Engaging students in meaningful, developmentally appropriate, real world discussions and learning activities
- Developing authentic and aligned assessments to measure student growth and inform instructional decisions
- Collaboratively work with team members to fulfill the mission, vision and beliefs of both the school and the district.
- Serve as an ambassador of St. Charles Parish Public Schools through all forms of professional communication.
Certification / Requirements:
- Bachelor of Arts or Science in a CONTENT AREA (ex: Math, English, Science, Social Studies, Physical Education, Vocal Music, Instrumental Music, Art, etc…)
- Possess a Louisiana teaching certificate Type “A,” “B,” or “C,” – or- Level 1, 2 or 3
- Certified in elementary education (grades 1-8) OR secondary education (grades 6-12)
