WHAT YOU’LL BE DOING DAY TO DAY
As a Supervisory Public Health Analyst, you will:
- Direct a public health, healthcare, or related program: Direct the National Hansen’s Disease Program by establishing program priorities, policies, budget, and operational objectives and evaluating program effectiveness to improve organizational performance and patient outcomes.
- Manage organizational resources: Direct the Program’s fiscal, human capital, information technology, facilities, and administrative resources to ensure sound stewardship of Federal funds and effective mission accomplishment.
- Advise senior leadership: Provide authoritative advice and guidance to senior officials on complex public health policy and program matters, including assessing policy, legislative, and regulatory developments and their implications for agency plans, policies, and priorities.
- Perform workforce management functions: Exercise full supervisory responsibility for subordinate staff, including workforce planning, performance management, employee development, and labor and employee relations.

Basic Qualifications:
Your experience must provide evidence of the following:
- Knowledge of organizational, operational, and programmatic concepts and practices applied by public, private, or nonprofit agencies and organizations engaged in public health or other health-related activities.
- Knowledge of the methods, processes, and techniques used to develop and deliver public health or health-related programs in State and local settings.
- Knowledge of a specialized public health program.
- Knowledge of, and skill in, the application of administrative or analytical methods and techniques necessary for working within the framework of a public health or related organization and carrying out specific program functions.
- Skill in oral and written communications, gathering and conveying information, making oral presentations, and preparing reports, correspondence, and other written materials.
AND
Minimum Qualifications: You must have one year of specialized experience to perform successfully the duties of the position. To be creditable, specialized experience must have been equivalent to at least the GS-14 grade level in the Federal service performing ALL of the following:
- Directing a public health, healthcare, or related program to accomplish organizational priorities and operational objectives.
- Managing organizational resources, such as budget, human capital, information technology, facilities, or administrative resources, to support program operations.
- Advising senior leadership on complex public health, healthcare, policy, or programmatic matters.
- Performing workforce management functions involving workforce planning, performance management, employee development, or employee relations.
